Allstar Weekend is a pop rock band from San Diego, California. And just one year ago, this band of high school friends was handing out fliers at a local Jonas Brothers concert hoping to one day make it big. Little did they know that in just a few months, they would turn into the next Disney Channel phenomenon.

It all started when Allstar Weekend entered Radio Disney’s “Next Big Thing” competition. And while the group didn’t win, they did draw the attention of Disney’s Hollywood Records, who quickly signed the band and put them on the fast track to superstardom.

Immediately the band began work on their debut album and released their first single “A Different Side Of Me” in early 2010. The song quickly topped Radio Disney’s Top 30 Countdown and began getting extensive play on Disney Channel. Hype began to surround the act, with speculation of Allstar Weekend being on the path to replacing the Jonas Brothers.

In June 2010 Allstar Weekend released their debut album Suddenly. The album debuted at #62 on the Billboard 200 and received a positive response from fans and critics alike. The band then released their second single from the album called Dance Forever, which has already risen to #10 on Radio Disney.

Allstar Weekend was also featured on the Disneymania 7 soundtrack, performing the classic I Just Can’t Wait To Be King. The band has also been touring in support of superstar acts like Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez.. It has also been rumored that Allstar Weekend will appear on Sonny With A Chance with Demi Lovato this fall.

With the full support of Disney and Hollywood Records, and their continued chart success with songs like Dance Forever and A Difference Side Of Me, Allstar Weekend seems destined to live up to the title of “Next Big Thing” and emerge as Disney’s next superstar artist.
